This guide is paid for by ads from Adsterra, and it counts visits with Google Analytics. Both stay off until you press Accept: until then the page loads no ad and no session-recording script, and Google runs on Consent Mode deny defaults. Fonts and poster images are served from this site. Optional YouTube media connects to Google only after you press play.
I compared this text with the page source on 15 October 2026. Two storage keys are ours: rf-consent (your banner choice) and rf-adbar-hidden (whether you hid the floating ad bar). The Google Analytics tag (G-7GZ98E88C6) is the only third-party script in the initial HTML, and it runs denied until you accept. The Adsterra ad units (Native Banner 880808ee2f1e0bdf7fed193023fb412a, Social Bar aa18f7f7a265a3ce0506f74de56bafd7) and Microsoft Clarity (project yy5mdvnr27) are injected only after Accept. If that changes, this page changes in the same release.
Who is responsible
The site operator is the editorial desk behind ragdollfootball.net. Email [email protected] for access, correction, deletion, or objection requests. We answer that mailbox.
Third parties
The only third-party script in the initial HTML is the Google tag for Analytics (gtag.js, measurement id G-7GZ98E88C6) from www.googletagmanager.com. It starts under Google Consent Mode v2 with ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage set to denied, so no analytics cookie is written; Google may still receive a cookieless ping. Pressing Accept grants all four signals. No Google Ads, no Google AdSense, and no comment backend is loaded.
Advertising: Adsterra (adsterra.com). Two units are configured for this domain on Adsterra website 6125489 — a Native Banner placed inside the article body and a Social Bar, the floating bar that can appear at the edge of the viewport. The ad scripts are served from the delivery host Adsterra issued for each unit, bicea.org (https://bicea.org/21/880808ee2f1e0bdf7fed193023fb412a for the Native Banner, https://bicea.org/14/aa18f7f7a265a3ce0506f74de56bafd7 for the Social Bar). Neither script is present in the page as served: they are injected only after you press Accept, so a rejecting visitor makes no request to bicea.org and sees an empty slot instead of an ad. After consent, Adsterra and the advertisers it sells to receive your IP address, user agent and this page as referrer, and may set their own advertising cookies to measure and to limit repetition. That response carries a short-lived cookie of its own, `pip_` followed by a hex string, expiring in about a day; storage like that is Adsterra's, under their policy, and we cannot read or clear it from this site. Adult creatives are switched off for this domain.
Session recording: Microsoft Clarity (project yy5mdvnr27), loaded from www.clarity.ms only after you press Accept. It records how a sample of sessions is navigated — clicks, scrolls, taps — and builds heatmaps. It is not loaded, and no Clarity cookie is set, if you Reject. Microsoft processes that data under the Microsoft privacy statement linked below; recordings are linked to a random identifier, not to your name or email.
Optional media provider: Google / YouTube. Pressing a video play button requests a player from www.youtube-nocookie.com. Google may then use youtube.com, ytimg.com, googlevideo.com, ggpht.com, google.com, gstatic.com, and doubleclick.net for player code, images, streaming, security, measurement, or ads inside its player. These are YouTube dependencies, not separate analytics or ad tags installed by this guide. Before play is pressed, no YouTube iframe exists and the poster is served locally.
Loading the optional player sends Google your IP address, browser information, and this site origin as the referrer. It can use its own storage under Google policies. Privacy-enhanced mode is not a promise of anonymous playback. Playback is optional; leaving the poster untouched avoids those requests. You can reload the page to remove a loaded player. The iframe does not request microphone or camera access.
Hosting and email provider: Cloudflare. Cloudflare delivers the site and may process IP addresses and request logs for security and delivery. It also injects its own measurement beacon into navigation responses at the edge (static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js — Cloudflare Web Analytics). That beacon is aggregate and cookie-free, it runs on page load rather than after a consent click, and it is a hosting-layer feature we cannot switch off from this site's code, so it is named here instead of being presented as a gated tag. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards mail sent to our domain address to our editorial inbox hosted by Google Gmail. Sending email shares your address and message with those services.
Cookies and localStorage
We set no first-party tracking cookie. Two localStorage records are written on this domain and nowhere else. The key rf-consent holds JSON with choice (granted or denied) and exp, an expiry timestamp 180 days ahead; when the record is missing or expired, the banner shows again. The key rf-adbar-hidden holds a single flag, "1" once you press Hide ad bar in the footer, which is how the floating Social Bar stays hidden: the bar is not even requested again after that until you press Show ad bar. Adsterra and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies only after you accept — Clarity uses _clck (about a year) and _clsk (about a day) — and those live in their domains, not in ours.
Do Not Track is not a consistent browser signal, so we do not read it. Advertising and session-recording scripts are not loaded at all until you press Accept in the banner; Global Privacy Control is the signal we honor in code.
Pressing play is a separate, one-video request to connect to YouTube, even if you rejected a stored optional preference. Accepting the banner alone does not load a player. Cookie settings changes the stored preference and unloads the scripts this page injected, but it cannot reach storage already held by YouTube, Adsterra or Microsoft. We do not read or clear their cookies.
Legal basis, retention, and rights
Cookie settings in the footer can change the preference record at any time. The legal basis for advertising, analytics and session recording on this site is your consent: Accept loads the Adsterra units, Microsoft Clarity, and grants all four Consent Mode signals to the Google tag; Reject leaves them off and injects nothing. A Global Privacy Control signal takes priority over the Accept button and always resolves to denied. We do not sell personal information.
The rf-consent record stays in your browser for 180 days or until you clear site data, and rf-adbar-hidden stays until you change it or clear site data. Server logs from the host, if the host keeps them, are not operated as a profile of you by this editorial desk. Email you send us is kept long enough to handle the request and then deleted.
You can ask for a copy of email we hold, a correction, deletion, or a limit on processing, by writing to [email protected]. You can also use Cookie settings to overwrite the stored choice, which unloads the ad and recording scripts we injected, or Hide ad bar in the footer to keep the floating bar out of the page. Personalized-ad controls at Google and the DAA are linked below if you want to limit advertising cookies set by Adsterra's buyers: https://adssettings.google.com and https://optout.aboutads.info/.
Changes to this policy are published on this URL. The visible Updated date and the article modified time use the same day.
Questions
Do you use advertising cookies?
Only if you press Accept. Adsterra serves the ad units and Microsoft Clarity records session samples after that; both may set their own cookies. If you press Reject, their scripts are never injected, no request reaches bicea.org or clarity.ms, and the in-article ad slot stays empty. Changing your mind later is one click on Cookie settings in the footer.
